Cocktails & Canapes
I was so lucky to host a dinner this week with the super-chilled-super-cool-fashion-Mum that is Zoë Jordan. Unsurprisingly, she is a girl with a ridiculously stylish home, adorable children complete with Charlotte Olympia slippers and a much coveted blackboard wall in the kitchen.
We kicked off with Peardrop Sours and Blood orange & carrot negronis, followed by a "canape masterclass" from me. Everyone crowded round whilst I went on about piping bags and polenta. Not sure my audience are that well acquainted with their kitchens ... as my friend Kelly Eastwood (from The London Chatter) explained "If it doesn't fit in toaster, I won't cook it". More cocktails and dinner seemed to be a better plan!
Teaching Lou Preskett our Smoked quail, aioli and pomegranate canape
I loved having my great friend and fashion illustrator Susannah Garrod do some live sketching of everyone, I'm so proud of how well she's doing and so quickly. Loooove these of Cal & Zoë.
