Peoples changing attitude to healthy food: It's really fashionable to be healthy right now. People are realising that the most sustainable way to look and feel great is to have a healthy lifestyle, not go on a crash diet or only eat protein for weeks at a time!

Chef and reluctant waitress

If you could be a vegetable what would you be and why?

Do I have to be a vegetable? If I were a fruit I've always thought I'd be a grape - Green(!), sweet, occasionally sour and sometimes alcoholic, great on their own but also very at home in a crowd...!

Favourite Peardrop dish?

Beef and Bearnaise canapes, anything with goats cheese...Also, I've never had it made by Rose but once nicked her recipe for Courgette spaghetti, mango, mint, mozarella and pine nut salad and it was heaven!

What's your comfort food of choice?

Anything carb-tastic...! A vaguley better option that is SO good is baked sweet potato with spicy chorizo (crisped up in a frying pan), some cheese or creme fraiche and veg on the side to keep the guilt at bay...!

What's your biggest guilty food pleasure?

Popcorn!!! With Salt. And warm. And always was before the popcorn renaissance came along; I really should have got in there early with the gourmet line of business, would have been my nirvana...!

What super power would you like to have?

Speak any language like a native and be able to change appearance to anything - I could then fulfil my dream of being an international woman of mystery...

BROOKLYN IMG_2677

Mixologist & Waitress

First food memory?

Don't know if this counts but a prominent one is cooking plastic sausage, egg, peas and toast in my Fisher Price kitchen! It was the best Christmas present a kid could ever wish for. I made the whole family sit down and watch and wait to be served!

Who would play me in a movie:

I think I would audition Zoe Saldana, Yaya Dacosta and Kerry Washington for there acting skills. And i'd hire Beyonce for the Bum shots and dancing scenes!

Comfort Food of choice?

Any Soup my mum makes with a bacon Roll. Or my dads Nigerian cooking : Egusi stew (stew made from ground melon seeds, okra, spring greens, onion, scotch bonnets, tomato, onion, dried crayfish/shrimp and goat meat. with a side of salted deep fried plantain and ground rice MMMMmmmmmmm heaven!

Fave Peardrop dish

I'm yet to try something that i don't like. I love the presentation of food, its part of the excitement of cooking and Rose goes to town with her micro herbs and flowers and moss beds and boards and drizzles and sprinklings and vodka filled pipettes to ensure the foods not only delicious but beautiful as well. I appreciate that! OMG I sound like such a brown nose!
