We will be providing a welcome drink and soft drinks but other alcohol and service is not included.
It’s time to make a stand against plastic.
Working in the food industry, we see a heartbreaking amount of single use plastic hitting our bins and the effect it’s having on our environment can no longer be ignored.
The world uses 20 million plastic water bottles per day. What mad proportion of those bottles are drunk in countries like ours where the tap water is safe to drink? It then takes 450 years for a plastic water bottle to decompose in landfill. And only 10% of recyclable plastic is actually recycled.
By making small changes to our mindset, it’s easy to cut down on our plastic usage. 'The plastics you do use, make sure you only buy recyclable and they end up in the right bin. We’ll have people here to advise on what’s good and what’s not for recycling.
So, by using the power of good food, interesting company and a healthy discussion, we invite you to make a Plastic Pledge: a pledge to CUT OUT those water bottles / plastic bags / straws / coffee cups for a week, a month or dare we say it, a lifetime!

We’ll open the evening with a welcome drink and a panel discussion about plastic, sustainability, the food system & how we can all play a part in protecting our planet.
Tom Hunt, Keep Cup and Andy from Boomerang Resources will take to the floor during which we’ll serve an amuse bouche by Tom, Eco Chef & founder of Poco.
Four other courses will follow from Jasmine Hemsley, author of East by West, Anna Barnett, cook and food & travel writer and Rose Lloyd Owen, founder of Peardrop London & Fare Healthy and Chantelle Nicholson, chef patron of Marcus Wareing’s Tredwells.
